Setting up Productivity-helpful playlists for the day

  • Create an account on Grooveshark.
  • Search for productivity-helpful genres of music. For example:
    • classical music
    • minimal techno
    • soft rock
    • soft jazz
    • easy listening
    • lounge music
    • science-fiction movie soundtracks
  • Create playlists according to genre.
  • The more songs a playlist will hold, the less likely you will get tired of a playlist.
  • Use ‘Radio’ feature of Grooveshark if you run out of ideas.
  • Spend some time exploring internet radio stations for ideas.
  • This is also a good way to prototype playlists that you may want on your iPod so that you don’t need to rely on an internet connection.
The success indicator to your playlists is measured by your music’s ability to bring you into “in-the-zone” moments.
